About Us
WeTalk Legal Rights is a legal awareness and social initiative founded in 2023 by Vinay Kulkarni and Sheeba Vinay, with the vision of making legal knowledge more accessible, understandable, and meaningful to everyday people. What began as a commitment to creating awareness around rights and the law has grown into an initiative focused on child protection, women’s rights, gender-based violence, legal literacy, and community empowerment.
We believe that awareness is the first step towards protection and access to justice. Through legal awareness programmes, school initiatives, campaigns, consultations, research, online awareness, and educational resources, WeTalk Legal Rights works to bridge the gap between people and the legal system. Our work particularly focuses on POCSO, the Juvenile Justice framework, gender-based violence, child safety, sexual harassment, domestic violence, cyber abuse, along with constitutional and everyday rights.
Our approach is collaborative and multidisciplinary. We work with lawyers, psychologists, child-rights advocates, educators, activists, schools, and organizations to create safer and more informed communities. In collaboration with organizations such as WICCI and Apni Shala, we aim to take legal awareness beyond courtrooms and into schools, communities, workplaces, and digital spaces.
At WeTalk Legal Rights, we believe that the law should not only be understood when a problem arises, it should be understood before the problem occurs and as part of everyday life. Through awareness, prevention, education, and responsible intervention, we strive to create a society where people know their rights, children are protected, women are empowered, and every individual has the confidence to seek help when they need it.
